GUIDE TO ITALIAN WINES is a bi-monthly publication aimed at the trade and consumers who love Italian wine and want to stay abreast of the latest trends in the Italian wine industry. Each issue will feature reviews of wines in various price ranges from the length and breadth of Italy. From Barolo and Barbaresco in the north to Chianti Classico and Brunello in Toscana in central Italy to Greco di Tufo and Taurasi in the south, you will find information on the latest releases. Other products, such as olive oil, cheese and spirits such as limoncello and grappa will also be reviewed.

He writes about wine for several publications including the Quarterly Review of Wines, Decanter, The Chicago Tribune and the San Francisco Examiner. He has traveled to wine regions in New Zealand, Italy, France, California, Washington and Oregon. (It was my pleasure to meet and travel with Tom in Friuli-Venezia Giulia in 2001.)
An authority on California wine, Tom was the California consultant for British wine writer Oz Clarke for his CD-ROM, Wine Atlas and Pocket Wine Book. He created North Shore Wine Education to help the public better understand the relationship of food and wine.
