Meet Sheral Schowe
Sheral Schowe was born and raised in the San Francisco bay area with plenty of exposure to the wine world of Northern California while she was growing up.
In addition to being wine and dining columnist for The Event Newsweekly, she has been a wine educator, lecturer, and consultant for 16 years and Owner and Director of Wasatch Academy of Wine since 1991. A member of the Society of Wine Educators, she is also a Founder and Instructor for the University of Utah's DCE Wine Education Program and a licensed wine educator for Utah Department of Alcohol Beverage Control.
Sheral has earned undergraduate degrees in French Language and Therapeutic Recreation and a Master's Degree in Adult and Continuing Education, and is certified in Education Administration and K-12 Special Education. She is Founder and instructor of the Transition Intervention Program for elementary students with behavior disorders, their teachers, and their parents.
