I can't believe this - but am I the only person who drinks Diet Coke first thing? And even better if I can find some cold pizza?

Lately in Japan I have been drinking more cold green tea in the mornings

I don't but I know a lot of people do. FWIW, the Mormons across the street don't drink coffee, but they have Mountain Dew for breakfast.

No, you're not alone! Diet Coke/Diet Pepsi is my drink of choice in the morning.

My preferred drink is espresso, or a noisette. But coffee will do.

I didn't drink coffee at all when I lived in CT. But as soon as I started working in Manhattan....

I limit myself to two cups, one in the AM, one in the PM. Any more than that and I can feel my jaw muscles clenching up.

I love Costa Rican and real Mocca Java. I recently tried some Sumatra that is interesting; haven't quite decided about it.

The stuff at work (K cups) is passable. Its best feature is that, basically, the machine makes half a cup at a time. So, it's always hot, and you can change flavors in the middle.

Coffee - Two cups in the AM and sometimes one cup late afternoon. I'm not fussy, any decent Arabica will do, as long as it is brewed strongly enough. My favorites change from time to time, although my least favorite(s) are the high acid varieties which always seem thin and sharp to me. I drink it black, without cream or sugar.

Wife and I both coffee drinkers in the AM. We buy whole roasted beans, use our burr grinder on them before doing the morning brew, and drink it black and strong.

Guess I'm the only decaf person! Doctor's orders. We get it from a local roaster and grind the beans fresh every morning first thing. Doesn't wake one up, but tastes great. When we eat breakast out, I sneak the hi-test stuff.

I drink coffee first thing at home, then Diet Coke while at work.

Sorry for being so late here, but coffee here. I'm in charge of the coffee club at work, buying supplies, cleaning the pots, setting up for morning, etc. I'm surprised nobody has posted this link: The Java Jive - Ink Spots.

I love the Ink Spots.

When I was a punk (a teenage punk, I mean - still a punk today) in Evansville, Indiana I hung with the hot local deejay. He emceed all the traveling musical acts that came to town. And kinda showed them around.

They did a show one night and after we drove them to a hotel. The wrong hotel. That hotel didn't take "their kind."

We went and got some whiskey and took them to another hotel. They were happy to have them.
That first hotel is long gone. The second survives to this day.

My sister has their "Greatest Hits" CD, which I downloaded to my IPod when I visited her last month.
