Laurel Glen 1995 "Terra Rosa" North Coast (California) Cabernet Sauvignon ($9.99)
Dark garnet. Delicious cherry-berry and spicy oak aromas. Ripe, juicy fruit flavor well structured with lemon-squirt acidity. Outstanding table wine, could compete at a significantly higher price point; kudos to Laurel Glen for holding it in the budget range. PRICE WATCH: Up $1 from the 1993, the last vintage available here and a reasonable increase. (Aug. 3, 1997)

All my wine-tasting reports are consumer-oriented. In order to maintain objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest, I purchase all the wines I rate at my own expense in retail stores.
