30 SECOND WINE ADVISOR |
Banfi 1997 Centine Toscana ($9.99)
Inky dark ruby. Ripe red and black cherry aromas, fresh and appetizing. Full, juicy tart-cherry fruit and lemon-squirt acidity in balance. What it lacks in complexity it makes up in quaffability; good food wine. U.S. importer: Banfi Vintners, Old Brookville, N.Y. (Nov. 13, 1999)
FOOD MATCH: Excellent with a pork tenderloin roasted with lemon and garlic.

Previous day's wine note
All my wine-tasting reports are consumer-oriented. In order to maintain objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest, I purchase all the wines I rate at my own expense in retail stores.|
