Today's Wine Tasting Note

The second simple Chianti of the weekend, juicy and ripe, though pushing against the limits of quality-price ratio:

Marchesi de' Frescobaldi 1995 Rèmole Chianti ($9.99)
Clear ruby color. Good black-cherry and spicebox aromas. Full, juicy tart-cherry fruit flavor, simple and fresh. A bowl of wild cherries in a longish finish. Very accessible wine. Importer: Paterno Imports Ltd., Chicago.
