Vega Sindoa 1996 Navarra (Spain) Rosado ($5.99)
Clear pale cherry red, dark in color for a rosé. Delicious herbal scent with a minty edge. Fresh, juicy fruit flavor, bone-dry and crisp-tart. Good, refreshing quaff, a bit more flavor and balance than you'd expect in a very low-end rosé. I figured this one was a safe bet, since the Vega Sindoa white and red are both pretty darn good bargains. Good move! Importer: Cutting Edge Selections Inc., Cincinnati. (Sept. 7, 1997)
