Peter Lehmann 1998 The Barossa (Australia) Semillon ($11.99)
Very pale brass color, with melon and apple flavors on the nose and palate. Fresh and crisp; good balance without much complexity. Works well with food. U.S. importer: Appellation Imports Inc., Annapolis Junction, Md. (Aug. 15, 2000)
FOOD MATCH: Works well with a savory but not fiery Chinese dish, shrimp in lobster sauce.

All my wine-tasting reports are consumer-oriented. In order to maintain objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest, I purchase all the wines I rate at my own expense in retail stores.|
