Ruffino 1995 Aziano Chianti Classico ($11.99)
Clear ruby. Good black-cherry and spicy oak aromas lead into full, juicy black fruit flavors and lemony acidity, a big structure holding up big fruit. This excellent new release bodes very well for the 1995 Chianti Classicos now coming into the market. The $12 price tag doesn't bode so well for Aziano's long reputation as a budget special, though.
