Laurel Glen 1995 REDS California Red Table Wine ($6.99)
Clear dark garnet in color, with a good red-fruit aroma backed by a whiff of fragrant black pepper. Flavors follow the nose, full and ripe, with a peppery tang and lemon-squirt acidity that remain consistent in a long, clean finish. PRICE WATCH: Up a dollar from last year in this market; still a great buy. (July 22, 1997)
