Alain Pabiot 1995 Sancerre "La Merisière" ($14.99)
Fresh green peas in butter on the table tonight, so what better than a nice fresh Sancerre to wash 'em down? Very pale straw color. Pleasant grassy and green-olive scents. Very full flavor, forward green-apple fruit; built on a big structure of lean acidity in a very long finish. Very fine Sancerre, drinking well now but certainly capable of doing cellar time.
