Peters' Hill 1996 Bátaapáti Estate Mócsényi
(Hungary) Chardonnay Dry White Quality Wine ($5.99) Clear, pale straw color. Fresh scent of ripe cooking apples, typical Chardonnay. Fresh, simple fruit balanced by lemon-tart acidity. Good, simple Chardonnay, fruity and fresh, reminds me of a decent Macon-Villages. Produced by a partnership including Peter Zwack, a Hungarian distiller, and Italian wine mogul Piero Antinori. Fine value! Importer: Premiere Wine Merchants, NYC. (June 26, 1997)
