Domaine de la Motte "La Cour de Pierre" Rosé d'Anjou ($5.99)
Clear, pale pink-lemonade color. Delicious herbal and strawberry aroma notes; dry, full and tart flavor, follows the nose, surprisingly mouth-filling and long for a simple rosé. Went surprisingly well with a simple stir-fry of diced pork and peanuts with light ginger-garlic-soy flavorings. Excellent wine, and a remarkable value ... it's hard to find a really interesting wine in the $5 range any more. Importer: Classic Wine Imports, Boston. (June 20, 1997)
