Brancott Vineyards 1997 Marlborough (New Zealand) Reserve Sauvignon Blanc ($16.99)
Pale greenish-gold, with delicious green-chile aromas in the classic Marlborough style, as green and aromatic as sniffing a bin of fresh chiles verdes. Full and crisp on the palate, green chiles (without the heat, of course) balanced by tart citrus acidity. Balanced and pleasing, an excellent wine.
