Castelmavre 1998 Corbières Grande Cuvée ($10.99)
Very dark ruby. Pepper and green herbaceous aromas and a whiff of spice soar over ripe black fruit; ripe fruit flavors follow the nose in a good balance of juicy fruit and lemony acidity. Very approachable wine, fine with food and pleasant for sipping after dinner; an excellent value. U.S. importer: Kysela Pere et Fils Ltd., Winchester, Va. (May 23, 2000)
FOOD MATCH: A natural with a spicy chicken couscous.
