Trevor Mast 1996 "Four Sisters" South Eastern Australia Sauvignon Blanc/54%-Semillon/46% ($13.99)Clear pale brass color. Grassy and musky aromas; crisp and bright flavor, fresh fruit and exceptionally tart acidity. Zingy tartness hangs on in a very long finish. Pleasant wine, but lacks the complexity to justify its price. U.S. importer: Epic Wines, Aptos, Calif. (May 5, 1998) FOOD MATCH: The piercing acidity makes it a decent match with a char-grilled pork tenderloin with a spicy Asian slather.
FOOD MATCH: Its slightly sweet quaffability made it a natural with an aromatic but not overly fiery curry.
