Katnook Estate 1996 Coonawarra Sauvignon Blanc ($19.99)
Clear pale gold. Delicious aromas of grapefruit with light green-chile accents, balanced and fresh. Full, bright fruit flavor, fresh and crisp. It may be just off-dry, but firm acidity holds it in balance. Delicious Sauvignon Blanc, but pushing the limits on value. FOOD MATCH: Broiled salmon in a light teriyaki sauce. The sweet-tart sauce seems to enhance the marriage of the food and the wine.
