This item seemed a little inexpensive for a Spätlese, and perhaps there was a reason for that: It was palatable but uninspiring.

Clear pale-gold. Fresh green-apple scent and a full, rather sweet candy-apple flavor, with crisp acidity to give it structure. Nicely balanced but rather simple, quenching and fresh. U.S. importer: Milton S. Kronheim & Co., Inc., Washington, D.C.; a Terry Theise Estate Selection. (Feb. 20, 1998)
