Podere le Cinciole 1995 "Le Cinciole" Chianti Classico ($12.99) Dark ruby color with an orange glint. Good black-cherry and caramel aromas lead into a ripe, juicy black-fruit flavor well structured by tart acidity. Soft tannins in the background suggest some aging potential. Clean and consistent in a long finish. U.S. importer: Vintner Select, Cincinnati; a Marc De Grazia Selection. (Feb. 5, 1998) FOOD MATCH: Fine with chicken thighs fricaseed in red cabbage and wine. PRICE WATCH: Up $1 from the 1994 vintage, tasted almost exactly one year ago, and a wine of somewhat more substantial structure and greater promise in the cellar.
