Omaka Springs 2007 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc ($14.99)
Very pale straw color. Striking aromas, a little green chile pepper and a little more green olive. On the palate it's citric and tart, bright lime and mouth-watering acidity, presents as nearly dry, but a touch of sweetness shows up on the finish. A dollop of 11% Semillon adds texture to the Sauvignon Blanc. Not overly alcoholic, a plus; bold and aromatic, typical of Sauvignon Blanc in the New Zealand style. US Importer: TGIC Importers, Inc., Woodland Hills, Calif. (Jul 7, 2008)

FOOD MATCH: This one was particularly well-suited with the aromatic flavors in a mild chicken curry.

Wine notes in 'shelf-hanger' format:
We publish Wine Lovers' Page tasting reports in the familiar "shelf-hanger" size and format, to make it easy for wine merchants or collectors to print them out, clip and post them where this wine is displayed. We do ask, however, that the name, logo and URL be left intact, and that these reports be used with the specific wines rated, not different bottlings or vintages.

Our tasting policy:
All my wine-tasting reports are consumer-oriented. In order to maintain objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest, I accept no free samples from wineries or distributors, purchasing all the wines I rate at my own expense in retail stores.
