Suavia 2002 Soave Classico ($13.99)
This pale straw-color wine shows a distinctly greenish brassy hue in the glass. Pleasant if rather delicate aromas evoke honeydew melon and herbal accents of tarragon and mint. Flavors are consistent with the nose, full-bodied for a Soave and appropriately tart, with clean fruit and crisp acidity in balance. Snappy citrus and melon linger with a light edge of peach-pit bitterness in the finish. US Importer: VIAS Imports, NYC. (Apr 27, 2004)

FOOD MATCH: Acidic snap and good body make this one a natural with a hearty Italian dish of bluefish fillets roasted over thin-sliced potatoes with olive oil and garlic.

Wine notes in 'shelf-hanger' format:
We publish Wine Lovers' Page tasting reports in the familiar "shelf-hanger" size and format, to make it easy for wine merchants or collectors to print them out, clip and post them where this wine is displayed. We do ask, however, that the name, logo and URL be left intact, and that these reports be used with the specific wines rated, not different bottlings or vintages.

Our tasting policy:
All my wine-tasting reports are consumer-oriented. In order to maintain objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest, I accept no free samples from wineries or distributors, purchasing all the wines I rate at my own expense in retail stores.
