Camel Valley 2000 Cornwall Brut ($20.00)
This excellent Cornish (England) sparkling wine is made by the traditional bottle-fermented method from Seyval Blanc grapes. Clear pale gold in color, it shows a good mousse and persistent stream of pinpoint bubbles. Fresh appley fruit and delicate bread-dough aromas lead into a crisp green-apple flavor, creamy and fine, with tart, cleansing acidity in the finish. It is available outside the UK only at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas. US Importer: (Mar 7, 2003)

FOOD MATCH: Enjoyed as an aperitif, but it would be a good food match in any setting where quality sparkling wine is appropriate.

Wine notes in 'shelf-hanger' format:
We publish Wine Lovers' Page tasting reports in the familiar "shelf-hanger" size and format, to make it easy for wine merchants or collectors to print them out, clip and post them where this wine is displayed. We do ask, however, that the name, logo and URL be left intact, and that these reports be used with the specific wines rated, not different bottlings or vintages.

Our tasting policy:
All my wine-tasting reports are consumer-oriented. In order to maintain objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest, I accept no free samples from wineries or distributors, purchasing all the wines I rate at my own expense in retail stores.
