Just curious: After the long wait, how did you like the Dalton Reserve Viognier 2012? I loved the 2009 and was disappointed that all of Dalton's Viognier was ending up in blends. I bought a case of the 2012 the day it was locally available, and it's almost gone already - my yom tov guests loved it! My wine guy only got in 15 cases... I'm thinking of getting 2 more instead of just 1, in case it sells out. Is that just greedy?

To be fair others thought it did not come around ever, when they opened it. In the end, this is a wine that will need a TON of time. Opening it now will not get give you what you expect from the past vintages.

I'm one of the "others" who thinks this wine is seriously flawed. I was absolutely in love with the '09 (rated it an A, it was among the best whites I've ever had), but the '12 is drowned in HARSH oak. Not my cup of tea. But I'm holding onto a couple of bottles to see if Dave is right and it comes around at some point.
