2011 Schäfer-Fröhlich Bockenauer Felseneck Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Nahe (10/9/2013)This is quite lively and fresh for a 2011 (that's called damning with faint acid). There's plenty of ripe fruit and a salty mineral backbone. No obvious sponti aromas. I do find it a bit sweet for my tastes right now, but a few years in the cellar should slim it down a bit, bringing it more into my wheelhouse.

Thank you for the note, David. Sounds like this is one to hold off on for a while.

I would let it rest.
Salil has expressed more satisfaction in the current showing of the wine than i have.
