Nope. I shut it down. Every time I try to enter chat I get a Java not enabled for this browser error. No problems with any other Java applications.

Interesting. What security level has Java been set to? Mine is High (looks like the default). Maybe yours is Very High? (Clutching at straws now...)

One thing I have discovered is that Parachat is unsigned. Because of that I have to say I will be responsible if anything happens.....who else would be responsible?

All this means is that you cannot blame Java/Oracle if anything goes wrong, such as someone finding a (another) hole in Java that lets them take over your machine. Unlikely, but it could happen.
