Kalinda wines

by Jon Peterson » Wed Sep 18, 2013 9:35 am

A friend is researching wine for his son's wedding in a few months. He asked me about Kalinda wines. I've never heard of them as they are apparently a store brand out west. Anyone here know about them and/or had them?

I believe Kalinda is the house brand for wines bottled for K and L which is a very reputable operation in California..Have never tasted them and no info re iwho makes the wines or vineyard sourcing, etc..K and L is not a new kid on the block, they have been around for quite some time ..their portfolio includes some nice direct imports as well as the usual suspects across a pretty broad range so wd not be surprised if the Kalinda wines are indeed well made and tasty

KaLinda, get it?

The Kalinda wines are scattershot, from Germany to Napa. They tend to be a few bucks cheaper, kind of like Kirkland Signature Champagne, but I've not found them to be that distinguished. Seems more like a way for producers to sell excess juice without undercutting their primary brands, but I could be wrong about that.
