Donkey and Goat Sluice Box El Dorado County White Blend. A skin contact lightly orange white, with refershing tangyness and nice acid character. Worked with seared Ahi, believe it or not!

Donkey and Goat 2012 El Dorado Grenache Noir. Previous tastings of this red had not blown me away. This was the remainder of a open all day bottle Jarred gave me because they were closing up shop for the day, and it DID blow me away. Fantastic black and white pepper, raspberry, and plum notes with that fine D&G funkyness! Awesome stuff!

2012 Da Vero Malvasia Blanco. From a fine newer winery in Dry Creek which specializes in "natural" wines. A new grape for me. Intensely floral, with bracing acidity and an intriguing and rich FENNEL character I quite enjoyed.
