Hi Harry,

Flam Blanc 2012 - The blend is 55% Sauvignon Blanc and 45% Chardonnay. The nose is dominated by citrus, and on the palate the citrus is complemented by grass and flowers, before the Chardonnay's influence takes over. It is very well suited for summer, exhibiting a liveliness that is refreshing. Its great on its own, and complements lighter fare, such as salads, and perhaps even a light chicken dish, very well. 12.5% AbV. B+/**/Y

Hagafen Reserve Syrah 2001 Heston Vinyard "L" Block - While it was only about a year ago that I had several bottles of this wine that I considered to be complex, this one was on its last legs. The tannins are now very integrated, with the taste profile primarily blueberry and lavender. The body now seems light to medium. 13.5% AbV. B-/**/N
