ESJ mid-90's Durell Syrahs- how're they aging?

I had an incredible bottle of the 95 Durell in 2006 and now I see of a stash locally of some well-stored 94 Durell Syrah.

Any recent thoughts on the 94 of this wine?

Patrick, I haven't any mid 90's ESJ's but I wouldn't be afraid of them provided they have been cool stored. I opened a 2003 ESJ W-F syrah last week, I must say that the tannins were about all resolved and it through a fair amount of sediment, but the fruit was hanging on, plus it had developed a bit of a bloody meat thing on second day. Come to think of it, I might have 2-3 more of them. I do think they need drinking up before too long.

My last encounter with the '94 was just a couple of years ago. Assuming good provenance I would jump at the wine.

'94 was a sturdy one. Still got a lot of tooth
I don't know just how I'm supposed to play this scene, but I ain't afraid to learn...
