Wineries going out of business

Anyone know who? I've been expecting this for a while because of the large number of wineries. I wish them all well.

One is Bashan - a wine that was not on my trip of the Northern wineries, because they do not exist anymore and that is what Uri told me when I called him up.

Bashan wines are now sold at great price. Around 45NIS if one buys a case. If they did it in the first place, maybe they wouldn't close operations now.
Anyway, for this price, I'm in.

Alexander - please beware that those wines were never for long cellaring. Since they have not made wine for a few years, I would be VERY careful and make sure to drink them up ASAP. IF I am wrong - you will still enjoy them. If I am correct - it will save you 10 to 12 bucks a bottle.

The plan was to open and drink them in the near month or two. After your reply, I'll buy the most recent vintage they have. I'll get three bottles as a start and will see if the wines worth the $10, b4 I get more

My notes on my site are for the 2009 which I last tasted a year or so ago. I'd guess the 08 and 09 are in drink now or drink up mode...

To update. My brother-in-law tasted several Bashan wines today and reported that 2008 drinks fine now, whereas 2009 has some time yet and be better stored than open.
I remember when Zmora (hope the name is right) closed several years ago, they also put their wines on sale. Later, I saw one of the wine shops that stocked up was intensively trying to push it. I skipped, because Rogov didn't rate the wines high.

Hey Alexander - thanks for the update! I really liked a few Zemora wines, especially the Cab Franc - but hey they are gone so who cares...
