2007 Tobin James, Silver Reserve, Paso Robles, Lagrein. This is a pitch black wine. Alcohol level is 14.4%. A terrific wine with a terrific meal. We matched it Parkey Stew and hard rolls. A great way to kick off the year.

I think it is a stew of known qualities in certain regions. We use a recipe from Penseys' catalog. It is made with kielbasa, carrots, leeks, cabbage, diced tomatoes, a variety of seasonings, and chicken or turkey stock.
