Does anyone still hand-number their bottles?

I have a half bottle of 1979 Johannisberg Riesling SLH Lot II from Stony Ridge Winery (empty) from Monterey Co. that is hand-numbered with ball point pen (# 92) that I have saved for its uniqueness. Anyone know of a winery that still does this. Obviously the winery would have to be quite small.

Luddite in South Africa hand number their Shiraz labels.

The Luddite name refers to owner/winemaker Niels Verburg's commitment to hand made wines eschewing mechanisation.

see http://www.luddite.co.za

When Luddite was first exported to USA it was labelled as Niels Verburg because there was a trademark issue with Luddite but I see a recent vintage labelled Luddite on their US distributer site http://southernstarz.com/detail.cfm?sku=10082

Niels talks to Gary Vaynerchuck about hand labelling his wines at http://tv.winelibrary.com/2006/11/28/ga ... isode-135/

I'm a big fan of Niels ....

I have a 2001 Dutschke "Oscar Semmler" Shiraz Reserve magnum that's hand numbered.
