The problem, Bob, is that when we click on that link any of us who us Cellartracker see our own Cellartracker page. We are not seeing what you see, in other words. To see what you see, you need to do a screen capture using software and post that as an image to this forum. If you don't have the ability to do that you could photograph your screen and upload that image to this forum.

Bob,
what Mark said.
If you click on link in Eric's last post (2) you see a list of wines matching 2000 Pavie, correct? If you click on 2000 Pavie Decesse (for example), does a shadowed Continue to Step 3 not pop up (on right side, just below "Search Tips/Help" ? Also, doesn't wine then appear on right margin under Selected Wines?

It's worth noting that the Continue to Step 3 button is greyed out until a valid selection is made. Once it is, the button is enabled and pressing it will allow you to progress

Just emailed you a couple of screenshots

p.s. I know I did ask Eric to install an 'anti-fruit & oak bomb' filter, but didn't think he'd built it... just wondering as the wine is 2009 Pavie. Might have to test it out with a Mollydooker wine which would be the default test for this feature

BTW, we do know of ONE environment where script (and this scenario) could be broken. Specifically, on Windows 8 running IE10 where the user has gone out of their way to toggle back to IE7 compatibility mode. This breaks the library (JQuery) which we and millions of other sites rely upon. The workaround is to switch back to default IE10 mode or use ANY other browser like Chrome, FireFox, Safari etc. The rather confusing public thread on this is here: http://bugs.jquery.com/ticket/12577
Meanwhile, I have some old friends on the IE team, and just yesterday I asked them to take a look from their end.

The thing is, if I consult my debugging logs I can see that Bob uses FireFox 17 as well as IE9. I can also see from the traffic that the shopping cart is in fact working.

All I can assume is that perhaps his screen is too narrow?

Screen too narrow, that is a good suggestion Eric. None of the wording is cut off however on the right hand side.
Ian sent me an image of his screen, looks exactly the same as mine. Ian seems to think that the "continue to Step 3" is my problem . It is always shaded, not maroon!

Bob, can you try another browser like Chrome?

When you click a wine, is it added to the right-hand side of the screen?

I guess I could try but have no idea what is involved. I can ask my buddy on Fri who is very computer literate. It is his living! I also intend to ask him to pop over and see what is going on here. Ever since Mozilla Firefox updated 3 weeks ago, I have not felt comfortable.

No nothing. I enter 2009 Pavie for example and a bunch of wines with "pavie" come up. I click on Pavie and other persons TNs show up. All the windows are not maroon, grey.

Bob,
you have Firefox and IE, and the same situation happens in each? Curiouser and curiouser.

I was able to duplicate Bob's problem in FF (didn't try IE). Looks like Java enable issue.

Go to:
Tools---->Options---->Contents---->Make sure the box to enable JavaScript is checked.

You may have to sign out and sign in again.

Is there a hovercard popping up that you are clicking on like this?

What I'm trying to get you to do is to check the boxes as in this diagram:

Eric-
Did you just add a server msg to enable JavaScript, if applicable?
FWIW, I was not getting that earlier today when I was able to recreate Bob's problem.

The site is not usable without Javascript, and in fact if you try to (both old and new sites), the anti-scraping service will tag and block you pretty quickly.

The thing is, I think that Bob does have script enabled. His server traffic indicates that the shopping cart is loading, and than only happens in response to script events. My latest theory is that he is clicking on a hovercard and just navigating away.

OK, I did the same as Eric suggested but in a different way I think?
1) Entered 2009 Pavie.
2) Clicked on 2009 box.
3) Clicked on Add Tasting Note (no maroon Step 3 btw).
4) Window comes up for me to write my tasting note.

Is this the best way to go in my situation, LOL.

Bob, it sounds like you are searching from an entirely different screen.

What I do not understand is why Continue to Step3 is not maroon. Guess we have all spent enough time and effort on this so appreciate all the patience shown.

Bob, I got your stats. The new site is really designed for a minimum of 1024x768, and yet you are running at 1004 x 543. It seems like you are missing a LOT at the bottom of the screen.
