WTN: Tuesday Night (Arnot Roberts, Burgaud)

by David M. Bueker » Wed Nov 21, 2012 11:19 am

Parents are up for the holiday. First night included the following:

2010 Arnot-Roberts Syrah Griffin's Lair - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
Lots of bright red and black fruits, some peppery accents and a lovely, clean finish. This starts out broad and comes to a point, such that I keep going back to the glass for more.

2010 Jean-Marc Burgaud Morgon Côte du Py James - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Morgon
Needed a good hour+ to open up, but once it did there was a lovely robe of berry fruit and pleasing acidity. It has quite a bit of structure, so time is warranted.
