TNs, please

by Marlyne K » Sat Nov 17, 2012 5:21 pm

Just acquired Liberty School Paso Robles Cabernet '09, and a Joseph Drouhin Laforget Pinot Noir, 2010. Is there any info on these, as well as drink/hold recommendations? I would really appreciate tn's on these.
Thanks so much.

The Laforet rouge is always a pretty dependable lighter styled red Burg. I had just a sip of the 2010, no notes, but seemed very typical for bottling- bright fruit, fairly acidic, no apparent oak. Sure you could hold for a couple years but really designed as a drink now.

Thank you! It will go out to dinner with us tonight (gotta love NJ's BYOs).

Liberty School is also a near term drinker, though it won't die if it sits for a year or so.

Thank you all so much. I'm not very good at picking out different tastes, but if I know what I'm looking for, I can often say "oh, yeah...that's there!". Just makes the experience more fun, and eventually (I hope) make me more able to do it on my own, and just compare my tastes with others'.
I'll be back with more requests! :D

Liberty School and Drouhin LaForet have been pretty reliable brands for quite a few years, especially the LaForet which I was drinking back in the day when I was still single,, have been been married for > 28 yrs..The LaForet white is also pretty reliable in the event you are ever looking for a reasonably priced Borgogne white
