Dry Creek Valley. 14.7% alcohol.
A lighter, less extracted version of Zinfandel (cold year?). Flavors of cherry, herbs, white pepper. Very balanced and smooth and almost elegant. went very well with my friend's smoked ribs
While leading a group bicycle ride on Saturday, we all stopped at Preston Family Vineyards near the very northern tip of West Dry Creek Road. After bicycling down a long farm road through a beautiful farm, we arerived at a beautiful rustic tasting room. I was very happy with the wines, which emphasize Rhone-ish blends and offer plenty of balance, lightfootedness, and herbal loveliness. A very good winery experience!
