WTN: When in Romaine

by David M. Bueker » Sun Oct 28, 2012 10:28 am

2007 Éric Texier Côtes du Rhône Villages Vaison La Romaine
Another year in the cellar did wonders for this wine. It still has a core of dark berry fruit, but there's now a bit of an herbal edge and a swirling mid-palate complexity with earthy tones mixing with the fruit and herbs. Not a lot of structure, so it goes down way too easily!

I was going to say that this is amazingly good for Grenache. But then I realized that it being Texier kind of negates the negative effects of the grape so I couldn't really reply except in a very useless way like this.
I don't drink wine because of religious reasons ... only for other reasons.
