Judean Hills Wineries Festival

Postby Daniel Kovnat » Mon Oct 15, 2012 3:39 am

Just yesterday I found out that the 14th Annual Judean Hills Wineries Festival is being held this week. In fact, it is in another three days, this Thursday, October 18th, at 5 PM at Kibbutz Tzora. I called the information number (*8108 in Israel) and was informed that the admission fee is 50 shekels. I am not sure which of the wineries in this region are participating but I'll try to find out and get back with the information.

By the way, I was looking forward to going to this and had been planning on it being held in November. Don't know if I'll make it because it is a long drive for me as I live in the Western Galilee on the border with Lebanon. I also had been looking forward to a road race in conjunction with this tasting of wines from the Judean Hills. It had been held the day after the festival last year, but this year it is to be held one day plus one week after the festival on October 26th. If you want information go to this link of the promoters of the race (in Hebrew)-- http://events.shvoong.co.il/yekavim/?page_id=18.

Hi Dan, sorry I should have posted about this a few days ago. I intend on going (still not 100% sure). Considering the wineries participating it is well worthy of attending. Among those will be Castel (the only Israeli public tasting event they attend), Flam, Ella Valley, Tzora, Tzuba, Teperberg... I will of course report back.

Best,

GG

Hi Gabe,

Hope to see you there, but if I don't make it, it will be nice to read your report about what you tasted.

I posted this two weeks ago my man - I hope you enjoy the festival - I tried so hard to make it, but in the end the dates were against me. Last year the events were later in the calendar, these early dates made my travel plans complicated. Enjoy!

As long as they were not figs I would not feel so bad..

And if the grapes were against you then we know we have problems;)
