A few nights ago a friend has us over to dinner, as well as another good friend whose wife is currently out of town. The five of us went through almost eight bottles of wine (naughty naughty) and I note that the host and gentleman friend were sipping scotch on the rocks when we arrived. Dinner was a fresh spring salad followed by roast leg of lamb and some great vegetable sides.
The next morning, Anne received this email from the other gentleman, titled "Lamb":
Anne and Ron,
I think I should have had a little less lamb last night. After arriving home, I fell asleep on the couch with cat on lap. Woke up at 4 a.m. and went to bed. Now I'm up but feeling lethargic, cotton mouthed and I have very little ambition. Will keep this in mind next time I eat lamb. Thanks for dinner.
Dan
