Who would get it, and which site would they get?

I would give the Erbacher Marcobrunn to Johannes Leitz. I hate that this great site is neglected by under-performing producers.

There's too many examples to list, but give ONE.

Reynard in Cornas (ideally the La Geynale parcel) - would love to see Eric Texier make wine from there.

He does make a Cote-Rotie and occasionally Hermitage, but no Cornas - so I'd be more curious to try that first.

But there are so many great parcels in the Northern Rhone (a number around Cornas, so many great sites in Cote-Rotie and some great parcels in Hermitage like Le Méal) that could be in a lot better hands. Recollect an absolutely horrible 96 Rostaing La Landonne a few weeks ago that tasted like pure wood, now if only someone like Eric Texier, or Steve Edmunds or the Gonon brothers could handle those grapes instead.

I have always been curious as to what Jim Law of Linden Vineyards would do with fruit from Cali or France. Not a specific vineyard but anything from Spring Mtn for cab based blends or Burgundy for Chard.

A little of both but mostly the first (just to see what he could do).

I've always thought that while First Growths are often wonderful perhaps they could be better.

Of course I've had some First Growths that have blown me away ('89 Haut Brion comes to mind) but sometimes I feel like they could be better.

So it would be fun to see what PD could do since he modeled Monte Bello off of Latour, I believe.
