Hello guys I've just come across the following:

For 3 days only, KosherWine.com has put every Chateau wine on sale for you. Some of these wines are over 40% off! Inventory is sure to fly with these prices, so be sure to make your purchases early.

Best,

GG

If you read through the offerings, the "real" discounts on mostly on over the hill wines or ones that aren't selling and 3% off most of the better stuff...

Ch Royaumont 03 & 04 are $25.99 at OnlineKosherWine.com: https://wwws.onlinekosherwine.com/produ ... anner_id=1

I agree with Yossi on the KosherWine.com sale with the exception of Ch Haut Condissas 03; it's a phenomenal wine and a great deal: http://www.kosherwine.com/cgi-bin/afltr ... neID=10829

Best,
Jon

Gabriel - In my opinion the 2006 Yarden Heightswine is currently drinking much better than the 2005, which may be the reason that it's on sale.

I tasted both, and loved them! However personally, I can't pick a favorite... Btw, dessert wines such as the Heightswine, Botrytis, Kerem Sha'al, Ch. Piada, Ch. Guiraud, Binyamina's LHCS and their peers really are my Achilles' tendon, if I was served a glass during the nine days of Av (for those who'd ask, it's a grieving period during which wine drinking is prohibited in remembrance of the Holy Temple's destruction), I would really have a hard time to be able to refuse it!

I have had numerous bad experiences with purchasing dated wine from kw.com. My own purchasing habits with kw.com have consequently narrowed over time to just buying wines that were released within the last 1-3 years.

Having said this, kw.com was upstanding when it came to replacing or refunding me for a bad bottle. So it all depends how much hassle you want to risk.

Contrast this with winechateau.com in NJ, which was IMPOSSIBLE to deal with! I bought a case of the 04 Ortal Merlot and Syrah from them a couple of years ago on sale and cellared them for a year or so and then belatedly discovered that they were spoiled. I had to fight tooth and nail, with multiple phone calls and time investment, to get a refund; and then got it in the most primitive manner - a hand written check (for some unintelligible reason that couldn't just charge back my credit card)! I tried multiple times to speak to the owner of the company and had no luck....

Adam - Yep! I had a case of Lafon Rochet 01 that was bad and KosherWine.com refunded without issue. The bottle of Haut Condissas 03 that I reviewed came from KosherWine, so I can vouch that at least one bottle was good :)
