In Rogov's TN the drinking window is "2011 perhaps longer" so in drink now conditions which might explain the sale. I'd be careful though.

Forget tasting window, the score alone was lower than Chateau Labegorce Zede Margaux 2003

Gabriel - I think Rogov had it pegged to drink through 2012. The truth is that I respectfully disagree with Rogov on this one as well as some others.

Sorry - the Condissas wines have always been out of my price range. I was using DR's scores.

Had the Haut Condissas 03 on Friday & Saturday. It was nothing short of incredible. I'll post my notes as soon as I write them up.

For some in these parts Reg Retail was just under $80..
Why is this a sale?

Yehoshua - I've found it to be consistently over $100. Can you point me to some other places that are offerring it for $80?

Yehoshua - just to make sure we're on the same page. I'm talking about Chateau Haut Condissas "Prestige" 2003 and not Chateau Haut Condissas "le Cadet" 2003. Is the Prestige under $70??

Best,
Jon

Never heard of the restige icon for this wine...

In title and on the link up it said Chat Haut Condissas Medoc.
And the Web link you have goes toa page that sais SOLD OUT :)

The one I am refering too is I guess the regular version(however regular that could be?)
2003 Rogov gave it an 89 Yet heard great things from many people. One of the better Mevushal wines floating around the world. Rogov did not have the Prestige in his book and the Notes on the Web-link you gave only tell us that in the liner notes as the label on the bottle is 01' in the picture.

By the way $52 for standard not $80

Rogov's note on Chateau Haut Condissas 2003 is the Prestige. He has a separate note for the Le Cadet:

Chateau Haut Condissas, Le Cadet, Medoc, 2003(Kosher Edition): Deep ruby towards garnet, full-bodied, reflecting its 16 months in primarily new oak barriques with soft, well-integrated tannins and gentle notes of vanilla-rich oak.. A blend of 60% Merlot, 20% Petit Verdot and 10% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. On first attack notes of blackberries and mocha, those making way for currants and raspberries, and, on the moderately-long finish hints of minted chocolate. Drink now-2014. Score 89. K
