Canapes at The Wedding reception

This was the canape menu at the Wedding reception at Buck House on Friday :

10000 canapes for 650 guests ............ that's about an average of 16 canapes each.

I wasn't invited although I couldn't have gone anyway.

Although my wife went to one of the summer garden parties at the Palace 2 summers ago through a charity with which I am involved. I couldn't go then as I was in hospital. Better luck next time.

Mass-produced catered canapes do not have a special appeal to me but a verger who can do cartwheels in Westminster Abbey has got to be way hip in my book.
