Kirkland vanilla extract

Postby Mike Filigenzi » Tue Mar 28, 2006 7:48 pm

Tagging onto the "Costco EVOO" thread, I was wondering if anyone here used Kirkland vanilla extract? We get double-strength vanilla from Penzey's and like it a lot, but the stuff is getting costly. I'd be interested if anyone can tell me how the Kirkland is.

Letterman asked Zevon if his condition had taught him anything about life and death. ''How much you're supposed to enjoy every sandwich,'' Zevon answered. (From a 2003 NYTimes article on Zevon by Jon Pareles.)

Mike,

No idea about Costco, although I'll watch closely since I just joined--but I DO recall a CI testing and they didn't find enough of a diff between the hyper expensive stuff and good old real vanilla.

FWIW.
