That is one of the big problems with Bordeaux stickies. What is the right food? People say foie gras and roquefort. For me, it is too sticky for the former and kills any wines that follow. Perhaps a meal with nothing but foie gras and roquefort, both with the sticky would do the trick. It can also be good after the meal like a liqueur but better IMHO.
BTW, isn't Loupiac an appellation in its own right on the other side of the river opposite Sauternes?
