No. Of course I'm just a bumkin from Indiana. What do I know? I'm sure that most native Californians could kick my sorry Hoosier ass.

Call me spoiled.

Among other things.

You really do need to relax Tim. Give introspection a chance.

Native hick here. Okay?

Hmm, as he already said "born and raised and farming grapes in Cali.......... "

My wife is a native Californian, and I admit I've never heard her say "Cali." But I do have a younger friend (born and raised in Vacaville, now in Santa Barbara) who often refers to herself and friends as "Cali girls", and when she moved from NYC had a "Back to Cali" party. So I don't think it's unheard of.

In any case, if we're banning CA or Cali, does it mean we can't say Burg, Bdx, MSR, or Oz?

James, You raise a good point. I have many co-workers and associates from New Jersey. I don't think I have ever heard any of them refer to their state as anything but "Jersey". Should I let them know that there is no such state?

Carlo, Prepare to have your California credentials revoked! You clearly do not understand the requirements to be granted "native" status. Please return your membership card immediately. :)

TimMc wrote:pseudo-Californians say "Cali"...no naitive would ever say that sh-, er, stuff. And if they do, they say it out of earshot of us native Californians...I assure you.

We would take them to task immediately....and it wouldn't be pretty to watch.

And if you say "Frisco", you had better not ever go to San Francisco and say that. They will chew you up and spit you out for that kind of low-life abbreviation.

Trust me.

Native Californian, here. OK?
So is my wife. So what? Now you've heard of Cali. Your education continues.
