Touraine-Amboise "Bécarre" 2006 - Damien Delecheneau - Alc. 13.5% - (€12,60) made from Cabernet Franc.
C: Quite deep with purple tints.
N: Subdued red fruit with red currant tinge.
P: Chewy round fruit, vigorously gutsy, medium bodied, some structure and a lot of bracing mouth-watering acidity with hints of varnish (VA?). Perfect for warm day salads but lacking the subtle refinement of good Chinon and Bougueil and the body and complexity of Saumur-Champigny and therefore a bit over-priced in comparison with them; 15/20+.
