Let's try this again...
Light ruby color, and a nose of strawberries laced with earth and a touch of reductiveness. It needs some time to open/outgas. It's a touch prickly on the tongue in a way that some young German wines can be. Lots of berry on the palate, and good depth, especially for a basic Beaujolais. As it settles I am liking it more and more. Very little in the way of tartness here, or perhaps its just masked by the depth of fruit.
Really good value at $12.99. I would happily drink this alongside the 2004 Brun, and in fact I really wish I had more.
Any enablers out there? Hey Bill, I know I said I didn't need anything else...
