I sat down to interview Joel about a month and a half ago for my magazine. Really nice fellow with quite a history. He learned to taste wine when he was 10 apparently - his parents were some kind of nuclear chemists or something, so they were all over the chemistry of wine and such as a hobby, but Joel told me that he used to be allowed to taste so long as the volume of what ended up in the spit bucket matched the volume of wine he had to begin with... Really funny... And to build up his taste databank his father used to make him smell and taste pretty much everything. Seems as though it's worked...

He had good comments on Constellation and I really enjoy his zins (I don't like zin very much at all, but his are quite tasty).

and then I read the article and had pretty much everything regurgitated for me. Guess his interviews are canned!!
