Francis Blanche Pouilly Fume, Cuvee Silice
Lemon, lemon, lemon, maybe a bit of grapefruit. Nice aroma of (what else) citrus. No rocks or anything like that. Definitely French and not American or NZ-ian. $15.99 at Beltramo's in Nov. '05.

I was disappointed with the one-sidedness of this bottle. Nothing "wrong", decent length, but lemon, lemon, lemon.

I have never heard of this wine, but my attention was dragged by the name, which is the name of a great writer and player who has been a great comic in France.
Is it possible that it is the same man (died now) ?
Old wines are younger than what is generally considered

Interestingly enough, I think there may have been a typo, as I believe the wine is made by Francis Blanchet.

You got the answer to a "t". :? Sorry for the typo.
